Do you ever find yourself caught on the wrong side of a street yet also have to cross the street in front of you? (if this sentence is confusing, read it again and reconcile it with the title of this writing).
Have you ever tried walking diagonally? It works surprisingly well. Instead of waiting for two light changes for you to get to your destination, go diagonally. Start off by placing your hand up in a 'stop' fashion (fingers together, not spread) and flashing your hand toward any and all vehicles that may enter your flight path. This tactic is especially useful in places like California where laws are very strict on people who hit pedestrians. My folks are from Chicago and they blanched when I tell them I do this.
Unfortunately, something dangerous about this is that if you cross diagonally, and you are not protected by left turners from both directions, you will be crossing moving traffic. Moving traffic is dangerous and could kill you. Do NOT attempt this unless you are a professional.
I've been staying up waaaay too late. Wow.
as if you can't tell from the subject of this post...
Sandwiches. Other than Light, the Earth, and Guinness, this is God's greatest gift to mankind. Why, you may ask?
The makers of Guinness are geniuses. It is like a meal in my mouth, and it tastes fantastic too. It has subtle, but present, overtones of fruit and chocolate. And bottles contain a widget which maintains freshness. Hence, liquid bread.
You may ask why I would start my blog off this way? Well, it IS 0300 and I have nothing better to do with my time. The last thing I happened to drink today was a Guinness, and It was amazing.
The reason I am up at 0300 and not really doing anything is because lately, I have been going through a phase where I don't want to sleep. I am very sleepy right now, but I am tired of going to bed. I hate it and I don't know how to reconcile that. I will spend close to 30 years of my life sleeping and I'm not quite sure I'm ready/willing to waste that much time.
I don't know. More thought must be conducted on this subject later. Let me know what you think or if you've felt this way before.
